CAPACOA Seeks Member Input re: NRCC Tariff #5 - CAPACOA seeks your input as they work with our partners and the NRCC regarding the proposed Tariff #5 “Use of Music to Accompany Live Events” issue (please visit the NRCC website to review the information).  Your input is key, and the questions will only take a few moments to answer.

  1. Do you use a background music service in your venue?
  2. If not, how much background music do you use in the lobby?  Who selects this music?
  3. How much background music do you use in the auditorium?  Who selects this music?
  4. How do you handle recorded music used in any dance, theatre, magic or comedy shows (or other) where the music (if any) is not already licensed?
  5. Is there any other information you can share that you feel would be useful for CAPACOA to advance the discussion in favour of its membership?

Please send your responses to Erin Benjamin at as soon as possible. erin.benjamin@capacoa.ca
We will continue to keep you posted as the issue evolves.
