PC 2011Tradeshow & Booking Conference
What is Pacific Contact?

Now in its 35th year, Pacific Contact is the BC Touring Council's annual west coast tradeshow and booking conference for the performing arts.
It includes showcases, a contact room (tradeshow booths of artists and industry) workshops and networking opportunities for artists and performing arts presenters.

Pacific Contact 2011 runs from April 1 - 3, 2011. The conference takes place at the Hilton Vancouver, Metrotown. The showcases are at the Michael J Fox Theatre, and at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts. Both showcasing venues are minutes away from the conference hotel, where meals, the contact room, professional development and networking and hospitality take place.

Who comes to Pacific Contact?
Delegates to the conference come from BC, across Canada and the US. They include performing arts and school presenters, facility managers, artists and agents/managers and government funding partners and industry representatives. On average, Pacific Contact attracts between 200 to 300 delegates each year.

Why Do Delegates Come to Pacific Contact?
Presenters come to Pacific Contact to book performances for their communities, organizations, schools, festivals and facilities. Artists, Agents and Managers come to sell their shows and book tours. Everyone comes for professional development, workshops, networking opportunities, hospitality, special meetings, presentations – and fun!

Showcases at Pacific Contact
Showcases are 15 minutes long. Music, Dance, Theatre and Variety acts are showcased for delegates who book for both adult and family audiences. There are approximately 25 showcases at the Michael J Fox Theatre and 10 showcases at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts. Delegates come to the showcases at Pacific Contact to experience artists "live - on stage". They get to see who is in the marketplace and the level of artistry available for touring.
