Advertising Opportunity

The BC Touring Council's Pacific Contact/ArtsOnTour/Members Directory is a publication that offers year-round advertising opportunities. In addition to reaching the 250 plus delegates at Pacific Contact, an additional 250 will be made available to members and key presenters in BC, Alberta and the Pacific Northwest.

Artists & Agents - Advertise in the guide and gain valuable exposure for your showcase and booth in the contact room. Announce any upcoming tours and your artist roster and website.

Presenters - Advertise in the guide for your upcoming series, festival or special events.

Venue Managers - Advertise in the guide for your season, series and promote the uniqueness of your theatre or arts centre.

STEP TWO

Create your advertisement (yourself or someone else). See below if you’d like us to create your ad.

Keep in mind that the publications will be printed at 150-line screen.
Please make sure any scans you use or bitmap images are of high-enough resolution, otherwise you will get "jaggy" edges or poor quality photo reproductions.

This means that grayscale images such as photographs should be 300 dpi and line art such as text or black and white logos should be at least 1200 dpi or higher if possible. For more info on scanning resolution contact us directly.
John McLachlan of Gliss Media will be more than happy to offer suggestions and advice.

You may also have us create your advertisement ($60 minimum additional fee for basic ad layout). You supply copy and images.

STEP THREE

Our preferred method of receiving ads is via email as an attachment, or on CD-ROM. Ads should be sent to John McLachlan at design@glissmedia.com. Extension granted to March 4, 2005.

We do our layout in Adobe InDesign on a Mac and prefer your ad to be an Illustrator EPS file with outlined fonts. If this is not possible please contact: John McLachlan.

You may also try sending us your file in other formats as well and we’ll see if we can work with them.

If you have a professional preparing your ad, don’t hesitate to have them email John.

Thank You for your Support.
