Realities Of Community Presenting - How To Plan In a Changing Landscape.
Part I
This workshop is for community presenters, school presenters, artists
and venue managers in small communities throughout the province. There
will be opportunities to identify and explore
the "winds of change" affecting professional arts touring and
presenting in small communities, and the resulting opportunities and challenges.
This will be a lead into designing local planning processes to build community,
organizational, and personal strategic directions, that fit local and
changing realities, and that build over time more sustainable approaches
to professional arts touring and presenting. Bring your issues, whether
they are about volunteers, fund-raising, audience development, local competition
etc.
This workshop is a key first step for BCTC in implementing a longer-term
direction to promote and facilitate collaborative community planning focusing
on professional arts touring and presenting.
Gavin Perryman has considerable experience in non-profit organizations,
small communities around the province, and arts related strategic planning.
(Part two resumes after BCTC AGM and Brunch)
