Advertising Opportunity

The BC Touring Council's Pacific Contact/ArtsOnTour/Members Directory is a publication that offers year-round advertising opportunities. In addition to reaching the 250 plus delegates at Pacific Contact, an additional 250 will be made available to members and key presenters in BC, Alberta and the Pacific Northwest.

There are 3 steps to getting a Printed Advertisement.

STEP ONE


Deadline March 3

Choosing size and reserving/paying for ad.
All advertisements will be printed in black and white.

Ads will not be considered “reserved” until payment is received.

STEP TWO

FORMATS FOR SUBMITTING ADS
All ads need to be supplied in digital format.
Ads containing images should be supplied at a minimum of 244 DPI.
Acceptable file formats are: TIFF, JPEG, PDF, EPS.
If files are being sent in EPS format (such as Illustrator EPS), please ensure that all fonts have been "outlined" or turned into "paths."

STANDARD ADVERTISING SPACES
Half Page | $200 plus GST | 4.5 inches wide by 3.5 inches tall
Full Page | $300 plus GST | 4.5 inches wide by 7.5 inches tall

Double Full-Page Spread | $500 plus GST
Two facing panels, each 5.5 inches wide by 8.5 inches tall

This is an opportunity to have a full two-page spread (facing pages) as well as "full-bleed" so your ad can go right to the edges of the page.

When designing this ad, create it in two files (left and right) and allow for the "gutter" which is the spiral binding of the publication
(see diagram above).

Each of the two files should be created with a printable area of 5.5 inches wide by 8.5 inches high. If you wish to take advantage of full-bleed (where an image or background colour goes to the edge of the page), create an additional .25 inch area to accommodate this.

STEP THREE

Our preferred method of receiving ads is via email as an attachment, or on CD-ROM. Ads should be sent to John McLachlan at design@glissmedia.com. All paid advertisements should be sent to design@glissmedia.com by Friday, March 3, 2006

You will receive an email confirmation that your ad was received.

You may also try sending us your file in other formats as well and we’ll see if we can work with them. If you need assistance in preparing an add, John maybe available to create an add. Please contact him directly.
