Where does Pacific Contact 2007 take place?
Pacific Contact 2007 takes place at the official conference hotel, The Hilton Vancouver Metrotown at 6083 McKay Avenue in Burnaby just outside of the City of Vancouver boundary. Showcases take place at the Michael J Fox Theatre and the Shadbolt Centre For The Arts just minutes away from the conference hotel. Booking information and rates, see the Hotel Page. When can I register for the conference?
Online registration begins December 1, 2006

Is there an early bird registration?
Yes! From December 1, 2006 to February 16, 2007. A $50 discount applies during this time.

How do I register and pay for registration?
Online registration through the BCTC website. Payment can be made by cheque and VISA only. Cheques should be made out to the 'BC Touring Council' and sent by mail. Please do not mail cheques after March 19, 2007. Bring them to the Pacific Contact registration desk.

What does my registration for the conference include?
Your registration includes access to all showcases, in-conference workshops, information and networking sessions, the Contact Room and hospitality suite. Of course, if you register for the Contact Room, this includes your booth. Registered delegates also receive a conference package, which includes a list of delegates, Contact Room layout and conference program, ArtsOnTour and Members directory.
Your fee includes one registration for one individual of your organization. Each additional registration with your group costs approximately $106.00 and can be included with the primary registration form.

Is there a deadline for refunds in case I register and am unable to attend?
Yes, March 9th, 2007 is the deadline for a refund (BCTC reserves the right to charge an administrative fee on all cancellations).

Will you confirm my registration?
BCTC will send out a receipt for payment letter after you register. Final confirmation of registration is sent out in early March with full details of your registration.

Do I need to register for workshops prior to the conference?
Not for In-conference workshops. In-Conference Workshop descriptions during Pacific Contact will be included in the program guide and posted to the website prior to Pacific Contact.
The Professional Development Intensive on March 30th is a one-day special program of many different types of workshops by industry professionals. It is a separate conference program that requires a separate registration and has its own fee structure. These costs are outlined and a separate registration form is provided on our website at the same time that other conference highlights are announced.

Can I purchase meals at the conference?
We suggest you pre-register for meals when you register for the conference as space is limited and could sell-out in advance. Meals may be purchased during the conference if space allows.

Where do I go when I arrive at the Hilton Hotel for the conference?
Registered delegates should go to the Pacific Contact Registration Desk located on Level 3 (outside the Crystal Ballroom) to pick up a conference package and badge.

What will my conference package include?
Registered delegates receive a conference package. This package includes badge with name and organization, Pacific Contact program with showcase artists schedule and descriptions, schedule and other conference information, list of delegates, Contact Room layout and meal tickets if meals were purchased.

Who will book my travel or accommodation?
As an attendee, you are responsible for looking after your own travel and accommodation for the conference.

Is there a deadline for booking accommodation at conference rates?
The deadline for booking accommodation at conference rates is Monday March 5, 2007.
But BCTC only reserves a certain number of rooms at the preferred rate and we have sold out in the past. It is recommended you register as early as possible.

Where do the Mainstage Showcases take place?
Mainstage Showcases take place at the Michael J. Fox Theatre at 7373 MacPherson Avenue in Burnaby, BC.

Where do the Studio Stage Showcases take place?
Studio Stage showcases take place at the Shadbolt Centre For The Arts at 6450 Deer Lake Avenue, Burnaby, BC.

How will I get to the showcases at the Michael J. Fox Theatre and Shadbolt Centre For The Arts?
We provide buses to the showcase venues. Buses will pick up at the Hilton Hotel front lobby. There is no extra cost to delegates for the buses.
