It is with great pleasure that the BC Touring Council invites Pacific Contact delegates to participate in a pre-conference day with distinguished international presenters from Australia, the UK and the United States in a day long event that is focused on bridging gaps, broadening opportunities and building relationships in International performing arts touring. Registration is required. Apply early, as space will be limited.

This peer networking session for theatre and arts facility managers is a regular feature at Pacific Contact. It is an opportunity to update each other on activities, share experiences, ask questions, and talk about trends and issues.
2:30 PM - 4:30 PM   Theatre Support Staff Networking Meeting
A peer networking and get-together for facility support staff. A great opportunity to share success stories challenges and tricks of the trade all-together and in smaller breakouts.

Waterford Room Level 3
Judy Harquail of CCI will introduce and demonstrate the Ontario Presenters online block booking program developed by CCI that BCTC is hoping to use to help presenters in co-ordination of Block Booking. Joanna Maratta will be on hand to explain the pilot project proposed for 2008/2009.

Dynamic, provocative choreography from the acclaimed artistic director of LINK Dance Foundation, Gail Lotenberg, performed by a cast of outstanding dancers from Vancouver and Whitehorse. LINK Breakfast Dances are designed to get an audience to commit further to the creative playground that is contemporary dance. Contemporary dance, muffins, fruit . . .Why not? After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Robert Kerr, Program Director - Robert will provide information to artists/agents/managers about booking opportunities. On the presenter side he will speak about a program that would enable touring of artists programmed for Cultural Olympiad 2009 & 2010 in Vancouver/Whistler into other communities across BC and the country. He will also update Metro Vancouver / Whistler area presenters on the opportunity to co-present with Cultural Olympiad 2009 & 2010.
