Showcase Application for Pacific Contact 2009 – March 27 to 29

NOTE: NEW REGISTRATION FORMS & APPLICATION PROCESS
           - A limit of 175 applications will be accepted
           - Agents, maximum 10 showcase submissions

1. Read the Overview and Application Guidelines before you register.
2. Online registration and fee payment forms, made easy by categories. Deadline: July 31st, 2008.
   Registration, *membership and application fee payment MUST be made before submitting support materials.
3. Once you have registered and paid, please fill out Showcase Checklist / Support Materials form and send with support materials by mail.
   Showcase Checklist & Support Materials - Deadline: September 2nd, 2008.

*Please note that payment of membership with your application fee is for the 2009 BCTC fiscal year – November 1, 2008 to October 31, 2009. Information about membership benefits will follow in the fall.

Showcases at Pacific Contact

• Cost includes a non-refundable application fee for each showcase application and annual membership in BCTC
• There are approximately 35 showcases.
• Venues: The Michael J Fox Theatre is a 600 seat theatre. The Shadbolt Studio Stage is a 200 seat theatre.
• Applicants can apply to showcase at either the Michael J Fox or Shadbolt Studio Stage or asked be considered for either. (At the discretion of the selection committee).
• Showcases are 15 minutes long. In exceptional cases an extended showcase may be considered. Artists are required to make their request in writing and state reasons why they wish to be considered for an extended showcase.
• Applicants can only perform at one showcase in a given year.
• Applicants cannot showcase two years in a row in either category.

IF CHOSEN TO SHOWCASE: A fee of $147.00 (includes GST) will apply to help offset the costs of showcasing. This fee is due upon notification of selection.
APPLICANTS MUST ALSO REGISTER AND ATTEND (OR BE REPRESENTED) AS DELEGATES IN THE CONTACT ROOM AND ATTEND ALL THE CONTACT ROOM SESSIONS AT PACIFIC CONTACT. (Booth fees begin at $400.00)
