Community Presenters Assistance

About CPA
The Community Presenters Assistance is a program of the British Columbia Arts Council and is administered by the BC Touring Council.

Deadline for applying is June 30, 2009

Objective of CPA
Awards are available on a project basis to assist non-profit community organizations that present British Columbian and Canadian professional performing arts touring events that occur between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010.

There are THREE presenting components of the program and ONE pilot component:

Community Presenters – eligible applicants must be BC registered, not-for-profit, community based arts organizations active in communities that do not have a Key Presenter. Organizations from the Metro Vancouver and Capital Regional District are ineligible.

Key Presenters – eligible applicants will be BC registered, not-for-profit or municipally owned and operated performing arts facilities of approximately three hundred or more seats that employ full time, professional management. Facilities located in the Metro Vancouver or crd are ineligible under normal circumstances.

Diverse Collaborations Presenters – eligible applicants must be BC registered, not-for-profit community organizations or non-profit or municipally owned and operated performing arts facilities. Those located in the municipalities of Vancouver and Victoria are ineligible.

NEW Pilot: Annual Development Award
An award for program applicants (who are approved in their Community, Key or Diverse Collaborations Presenter grants) for a specific activity or project that the applicant feels would assist their organization in building its capacity in ways it currently cannot. It must pertain to the performance aspect of the organization’s activities. $2,500 is the maximum grant.

2009-2010 Guidelines/Application Forms

You will need to download General Guidelines, Specific Criteria for the component you are applying under and one or more of the application forms (depending on how many components you are applying for).

All forms are in Adobe Reader format and require a recent version of the free Reader available here. You can print these forms off and complete them manually, or preferrably, you can fill them in using Adobe Reader then save, print and sign them before sending in.

CPA FINAL REPORT FORMS for 2008/2009

For presenters who received funding in the 08-09 season.
Applicants must have completed and submitted final reports for any outstanding funding assistance provided by the BC Arts Council prior to making application for new funding.

You may complete the form by printing it off and filling it in manually, or better yet, you may use the form fields in the document to enter all your information/data at which point, you can print and sign the form and mail by June 30, 2009.
